Built in 1833, the Blaine House is a historic monument that stands as a testament to the rich history of Maine's aristocracy, built to serve as the residence for the standing Governor of the state. The house is just a short walk from the State House complex. The house features an exquisite array of gardens, designed by the Olmstead brothers and recently voted one of Maine's top 10 Gardens by Downeast Magazine.
